Anno 117: Pax Romana – Release Date and Pre-order
Hey Anno Community,
What an exciting weekend filled with even more Anno 117: Pax Romana news! But first, let’s make it official here on the Anno Union too:
We’re excited to announce that Anno 117: Pax Romana will release on 13th November 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S!
Now that we got the biggest news out, let’s have a quick recap of everything that happened during the weekend.
PC Gaming Show & IGN Live
If you tuned in to the PC Gaming Show last night, then you’ve probably spotted the new Anno 117: Pax Romana trailer:

Another video was shared yesterday during IGN Live, this one with a focus on the military aspect of the game: it shouldn’t be a surprise for you all anymore that land combat will make a comeback in Anno 117: Pax Romana. Check out the trailer with our Creative Director Manuel here:

Yes, you read that right: you can now pre-order Anno 117: Pax Romana prior to its release on November 13th on your preferred platform! You can pre-order the game for PC here:

There are different Editions of the game available, plus, if you pre-order game you will get the special “Builder Pack” as extra content.
Standard Edition
This includes the base game (digital key for PC, digital key or physical copy for Console) of Anno 117: Pax Romana.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or admire thousands cheering in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people’s needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself—but not without consequences.
Gold Edition
The Gold Edition includes the base game, plus the Year 1 Pass: this means the three upcoming DLCs, as well as the Day 1 Content (3 Player Sigils, 1 Ship Skin, 1 Ornament).
Governor’s Edition
Finally, let’s take a closer look at the Governor’s Edition: this will include everything included in the Gold Edition and MUCH more. This physical edition will only be available from retailers and only for PC (Ubisoft Connect) and PlayStation 5. Let’s have a look at what’s inside:
- Steelbook
- Forged Anno symbol
- Albion & Latium coins
- Amphitheatre 3D puzzle
- Artbook
- 3 lithographs
- Town Crier’s letter
- Blueprint of the Tesserae Works

If the Governor’s Edition had a Steam Key instead of a uplay key, I’d buy it as soon as possible. Unfortunately I have yet to buy physical uplay game, where the included activation key works. Not even considering the bloatware that uplay is (slow, unwieldy bad design and bad downloader).

The key included in the PC Governor’s Edition is for Ubisoft Connect.

Im not sure if anyone else has said this, but I would love Anno on the switch 2 with mouse support! Love playing Anno 1800 on my PC, I have it on PS5 but don’t like playing with a controller so never play it.
Will the “Governors Edition” be available on Steam? I can only see the regular and the gold edition
Hey pheeel1109, the Governor Edition is a purely physical edition and is only sold at retailers, but not digital stores like Steam or the Ubisoft Store.
What happened to the Tribune edition? I live in the US and was hoping to buy that edition for PC
It’s very sad that you abandoned the experience of the past and are releasing a game without Russian localization even text and subtitles.
when I look in the Ubisoft Store at Anno 117 and click on more under languages, then there is russian for interface and subtitles

Another game that Ubisoft ignores us, when will the devs at BlueByte and now this Mainz understand that Portuguese is not Spanish! They promised that the next game would have at least Portuguese subtitles! Where is the respect for your players Ubisoft? Please do portuguese subititles for us we love your games but 300R$ and nothing in portuguese!

I am keen for the goverors edition, however I live in New Zealand. Is that an issue?
Also, purchasing the governors edition comes with the game disks. Will there be an option to add this to my steam library etc? My PC does not currently have a disk drive
The Governor’s Edition only comes with a Disc for the Console Edition. For PC, you only have a digital download.
As it has been usual for the past 15 years or so, physical discs for PC games are optional. You will have to register it in Ubisoft Connect with the game Key and then you can download it. By now, for most people Downloads will be faster than installing from multiple DVDs anyways if you have half decent internet. And you will have to install a day one patch anyways.

Will the Governor’s Edition be made available in The Netherlands as well? At the moment it appears that the Governor’s Edition appears only in amazon UK and DE, but not NL.

I will be very happy if the game has Ukrainian language
PSN store showing PC UI, will PS5 version have both input methods/UI (gamepad / keyboard+mouse) ?

Now i order uk but cost more because i think its difrent
