Union Update: Aegyptus is calling & Community Spotlight

Hey Anno Community!

It’s October, Autumn makes itself very much felt and the release of “Dawn of the Delta” is drawing near. In today’s Union Update we’ll have an overview of what you can expect in the coming weeks, and a Community Spotlight.

News from Aegyptus

While we did share some information already at gamescom, it’s time to dive deeper and give you a full overview of what you can expect with “Dawn of the Delta” on November 5th.

We’re planning several DevBlogs detailing the various features of this upcoming expansion, the improvements and changes of the update releasing alongside it and then of course the full patch notes with all bug fixes for the update.

The first of these DevBlogs will release on October 15th and focus on the province itself.

If you prefer to see it all in action, tune in to our Twitch livestream on the Annogame channel on October 22nd at 5PM CEST. The week after we’ll be holding another livestream to look at a more advanced savegame, meet some new characters in Aegyptus and see what’s going on with those triangle-shaped constructions further in the desert.

Pyramids? Pyramids!

We’re talking about the pyramids, of course!

To get a first look at them and their role in Dawn of the Delta, check out the IGN YouTube channel on Monday, October 12th around 8PM CEST.

If you miss it: don’t worry, we’ll also share the video on our channels afterwards and have even more details for you in a DevBlog at the end of October.

Community Spotlight

After all this looking into the future, in the past and presence the Anno Community has continued to be very busy, let’s share some of those updates.

Firstly, in September we released documentation for how to read statistics screen data from the game in real time for second-screen tools. This has since sparked some work from a few community members, see more here and here if you’re more technically inclined.

For the ones who are rather more interested in results than in fiddling around with this option, Dealwatch/ itzxpringle released “Tabularium117” as a download. It provides you with detailed consumption and production statistics and related information and is available in English and German.

Another very recent community project is the Anno 117 Seed Finder by Taludas and Drullo321. This standalone tool lets you search for all kinds of different map combinations (island setup, fertilities, etc.) before starting the game to find your dream island: https://github.com/Taludas/Anno-117-Seed-Finder

Finally, the Codex Romana by fordfan_2015 gives you a full overview of all items/specialists in the game letting you search and filter for specific effects and DLCs.

Mod Spotlight

We also continue to recommend checking out the mod.io website for mods for Anno 117: Pax Romana – and for Anno 1800, of course, where several new mod projects are also still in the works.

Three recent additions we found interesting we want to briefly feature here:

Roman Life Latium by khayi adds a whopping 45 new needs for your Latium population, including new fitting specialists. If you can deal with the all the new production chain management this requires, this mod is for you.

You are looking for a military challenge instead? A rather hardcore invasion mod called Black Tides by Eternyx confronts with regular strong raids by sea and land.

Finally, if you’re looking for your very own monument in Albion, the Pharos of Dubris mod by antalj lets you build a great lighthouse in Albion in multiple stages – complete with dedicated technologies to research.
