Union Update: gamescom and the hippodrome

Hey Anno Community,

August is a busy month for us with both the upcoming release of “The Hippodrome” next week and our presence at gamescom the week after.

Specifically on the latter, we want to give you a first overview of what you can expect from us in Cologne and what we’ll be presenting.

In total, we’re planning three different panels but each will be repeated in both English and German to offer you multiple options no matter which day you’ll be visiting.

• The Hippodrome and beyond + Q&A segment: We’ll talk about the recently released “The Hippodrome” expansion and maybe have a teaser for “Dawn of the Delta”
• Cosmetic Packs with Reiko + Q&A segment: Together with our Art Director we show the upcoming cosmetic pack for the first time and talk about our approach to Art and cosmetics in general
• Directors Q&A Panel: Your opportunity to Manuel, Creative Director, Jan, Game Director and Stéphane, Executive Producer and also learn more about their work

For anyone not attending gamescom, two of the panels will also be livestreamed on the official Ubisoft Twitch and YouTube channels. These panels are marked accordingly on the schedule above. Tune in and join other Anno and Ubisoft fans in the chat!

The week after gamescom we’ll also have a full recap blog post for you. In the second week we’ll hold a livestream on our Twitch channel and not only show you more about the upcoming cosmetic pack but are also happy to answer any questions that you weren’t able to ask us at gamescom directly. Best to mark that date in your calendars!

The release of The Hippodrome!

As mentioned in the intro, before gamescom we have another highlight: the release of the “The Hippodrome” expansion and Update 2.0 next week Thursday.

You can already check out the DevBlog for the DLC as well as another DevBlog on changes and improvements coming with the update for everyone right now! The full patch notes will follow next week, closer to release.

Make sure you don’t miss our livestream on August 20^th! Not only will it feature the inaugural race in the new hippodrome, proudly sponsored by the winners of our latest contest, but you’ll also be able to ask your questions directly to our two Designers Nicolas and Tobias.
