Union Update: It’s Version 1.3 release day
Hey Anno Community,
Today we are releasing Version 1.3 of Anno 117: Pax Romana! This patch fixes several bugs, crashes and performance issues and resolves various causes for desyncs. If you missed the Patch Notes that we shared last week, you can find them here.
A few highlights:
- Fixed several crashes and performance issues
- Fixed various causes for desyncs
- With these desync fixes, we’ll also re-enable crossplay for Xbox since all 3 platforms will be on the same version again
- Added various updates and fixes to texts and localizations
- Fixed an issue with deities (Ceres, Neptune, Mars) disappearing from the Religion menu
- Fixed an issue making it impossible to upgrade blueprints of slot buildings (mountain, river, marshland) and farms
- Fixed an issue where the audio would get corrupted during long play sessions
Issues with saving the game
Following some reports and some investigation on our side, it seems that Windows 11 for some users automatically restricts access of the game to the Documents folder after a patch, due to the .exe file changing.
This will prevent you from saving the game.
To resolve this, please make sure Anno 117: Pax Romana is not blocked by Windows Defender and can access the Documents folder.
The Art of Anno 117: Pax Romana
We’re excited to announce the release of the official artbook for Anno 117: Pax Romana in collaboration with Dark Horse. It’s the largest artbook we have ever done for an Anno game with over 200 pages and gives you a look into the development of the game, with dozens of concept art for buildings, characters, islands and more.
You can order it now at your favourite online book store!
Art4Fans x Anno
Like we did for Anno 1800, we partnered up again with Art4Fans to bring some Anno 117: Pax Romana artworks to your living room (or any other room you’d like your art to be in). You can find the full collection here on their store.
Anno 117: Pax Romana soundtrack on Vinyl!
Speaking of collaborations, we worked together with Lace Records for this stunning Vinyl set for the beloved Anno 117: Pax Romana soundtrack. You can pre-order it now on their website.
Sound and Music developer livestream
Just in case you’ve missed it: last week we welcomed our colleagues from the Audio Team into a livestream to talk about their work on Anno 117: Pax Romana. From composing and recording the soundtrack over sound effects of military units to the planning of the sounds accompanying your city building.
You can check out the VOD here on Twitch.
And if you want to know more, our Audio Designer Lucas also recently talked about his job as part of the Ubisoft Lecture series.
